Pregnancy
It is never too early to learn about breastfeeding and during pregnancy is the perfect time to learn all about the benefits of feeding and how to get breastfeeding off to a good start. In pregnancy you are not only growing your baby but also changing your body in order to feed your baby once your baby is born. Natasha is an experienced antenatal teacher and midwife who has coordinated antental classes for 5 years with the aim of improving attendee confidence and knowledge during relaxed, interactive sessions. We offer 90 minute antenatal group sessions in which we explore the benefits of breastfeeding, how to get it off to a good start, and the all important positioning and attachment. If you are unable to make a group session or prefer a more individualised approach one to one appointments are available at your convenience and in your own home. These sessions will take around an hour. Cost is £40.00.
One to One Breastfeeding Assesments/ Support Visits.
BabyMoon offers 1-2-1 home visits to discuss your feeding needs and requirements. These will be offered within 48 hours of making contact and usually during the evening or weekend. These are approximately 90 minutes long and they are based in your own home. During this visit we will explore everything that is relevant to your feeding journey and develop a feeding plan that supports exactly where you want to be. A detailed feeding assesment will be completed and practical support will be given to resolve any problems that you may have. A further telephone call will be offered following the visit to support you further. The cost of the initial consultation is £70.00. If a further appointment is needed then these last one hour and costs £40
WhatsApp video calls
At BabyMoon we realise that feeding your baby is a 24 hour a day job and that sometimes the most difficult of feeds are often when the shops are closed and everyone else is asleep. To support you we offer out of hours Skype calls ( with prior arrangement and a mutually agreed time) to enable us to support you in your time of need. These appointments will last approximately 60 minutes. Please note that although this is often helpful it may not be ideal when there are problems with positioning and attachment as a phone can not always pick up the small details that are seen during a face to face contact. Cost; £40.00
Free social and support group
Starting on 31st October 2025 there will be a FREE Infant Feeding group in Hemel Hempstead. Based at Highfield Community Centre, Fletcher Way Hp2 5SB between 930 and 11am. Grab a cuppa with us, have a chat and get some advice if this is something you need. No booking required.
